I Dream of Weenie, located in Five Points, is a cute, take-out hot dog shop that cooks for and serves all of it’s customers out of a modified, old Volkswagen bus. Since opening in 2007, I Dream of Weenie’s quirky, uniqueness has led it to becoming one of Nashville’s coolest stops. IDOW is a take-out restaurant with no interior seating, but the grounds the bus sits on make for a great picnic spot.
Neighborhood Spotlight:
East Nashville
East Nashville is kind of like the Brooklyn of Nashville. It’s large, diverse and begins once you cross a river (the Cumberland) from downtown. Known for being artsy and creative, local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and bars are interwoven in the fabric of many of East Nashville’s communities.
