Sunset in East Nashville
The East Nashville neighborhood highlighted on a map of Nashville

East Nashville is kind of like the Brooklyn of Nashville. It’s large, diverse and begins once you cross a river (the Cumberland) from downtown. Known for being artsy and creative, local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and bars are interwoven in the fabric of many of East Nashville’s communities and help cultivate the neighborhoods overall welcoming and charming character. The majority of East Nashville features older arts and crafts style homes and many of its smaller communities are great for a walk or bike ride. For 18 of the last 19 years (excluding 2020) East Nashville’s Five Points neighborhood has hosted Tomato Art Fest a fun themed event which is a major local favorite.
