With the goal of serving sharable dishes highlighting whole-animal butchery, seasonal produce and rustic pastas, chef Philip Krajeck humbly dubbed Rolf and Daughter’s menu “modern peasant food” when the restaurant first opened in 2012. Since that time, RAD has transformed from an upstart to a staple and it remains one of Nashville's top restaurants today. Not only is the food here among Nashville's best but the restaurant is beautifully designed. From Custom woodworking by local studio Holler Design, to beautiful bookshelves, brick walls and a tasteful outdoor patio, everything is done with an eye for detail and class. Chef Krajeck opened a second restaurant, Folk, in East Nashville in April of 2018 and that should also be at the top of your list to try.
