Seafood spot The Optimist opened on Adams Street in Germantown in a reclaimed warehouse in July of 2019 to rave reviews. The restaurant that features first floor dining, an incredible upstairs cocktail bar dubbed Le Loup, and a great outdoor bar dubbed Jacqueline is not only beautifully done but also extremely spacious. This Nashville location is the second iteration of Chef Ford Fry’s original Atlanta spot and carries on many of the same traditions while still maintaining its own identity led by executive chef Ryder Zetts. The menu which features the best food the sea has to offer, is plentiful with a number of nautical dishes, a few land staples and without a doubt the best rolls in town.
