Mas Tacos Por Favor started out as a food truck which, after 2 successful years on the road, led to the opening of their East Nashville brick and mortar in 2010. Originally, Mas Tacos operated out of a 1974 old, blue, wobbling Winnebago. While the RV sometimes struggled to make it across town, word quickly spread that the tacos made inside were worthy of a Lamborghini. Mas Tacos now permanent location somewhat mimics the feel of the original winnebago with mismatched chairs, wobbly tables and a chalkboard menu. Lines at meal times can get long here but the staff is used to it and gets the food out quickly.
Neighborhood Spotlight:
East Nashville
East Nashville is kind of like the Brooklyn of Nashville. It’s large, diverse and begins once you cross a river (the Cumberland) from downtown. Known for being artsy and creative, local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and bars are interwoven in the fabric of many of East Nashville’s communities.
