Union Station, built in 1900, was bought and converted into a hotel in 1986 by Marriott International. Designated as one of the historic hotels of America, Union Station’s beautiful gothic design, romanesque architecture and 65-foot barrel-vaulted lobby ceilings make it one of Nashville’s loveliest hotels. Union Station is very conveniently located just a short walk from lower Broadway and The Gulch. It shares a driveway with the Frist Art Museum.
Union Station recently reimagined their restaurant space with a new flagship named Stationairy. The restaurant is beautiful, featuring large windows looking out over Broadway, stone walls, and 22 foot ceilings designed in the same style as the rest of the hotel. Stationairy is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It features a bistro style menu of American dishes with a selection of creative cocktails to match.Neighborhood Spotlight:
Downtown
Life in Downtown Nashville, for better or worse, revolves around one street - Broadway. Broadway, or in fact Lower Broadway as it’s known by locals, is the home of dozens of rowdy honky tonks that feature live music 16+ hours a day, 365 days a year.
