Substrate Cafe + Farmacy is a beautiful cafe with fantastic locally-sourced food located just across the street from Belmont University. Substrate’s interior is filled with plants and island-decor. It’s spacious with lots of seating and thanks to it's location in a little strip mall with other shops, there’s plenty of parking out front. All food at Ma'kai is local, free of preservatives and we think they have one of the best menus among coffee shops in Nashville. Favorites here include the breakfast sandwich and the avocado toast.

12 South, located on a half-mile stretch of 12th avenue, south of Downtown, is Nashville’s most walkable neighborhood and a great place to spend an afternoon in Music City. Hip and full of boutiques, restaurants and murals, this neighborhood features predominately arts and crafts bungalows and has a style all its own.
