Nashville's vibrant nightlife scene comes alive under the open skies, with its plethora of rooftop bars offering both breathtaking views and an authentic taste of Music City's charm. Really there are two different types of rooftop bar in Nashville. There are the twenty or so located on the five block stretch of bars on Broadway downtown that are at most four stories tall and there's the ones perched atop hotels around the city that fly as high as twenty-seven stories. To make this easy, we are just combining the Broadway bars into one because they each share a very similar aesthetic but are shining a light on the other rooftops around the city individually.

1. The Broadway Bars
Neighborhood: Downtown

Most of the bars on Nashville's main party strip Broadway feature large rooftops. Acme Feed and Seed, shown above, is among our favorites considering its location on 1st Avenue overlooking the Cumberland River to the east and the entire Broadway strip to the west but really whether it's Acme, Jason Aldean's, Tootsies, the Twelve Thirty Club or any of the other options, you can't go wrong. 2. Rare Bird
Neighborhood: Downtown

Rare Bird, perched atop Nashville on the rooftop of the boutique hotel Noelle, is a colorful bar with an incredible view of the Batman building and the Cumberland River in the distance. Small but chic, Rare Bird offers a variety of contemporary food options, wine, craft cocktails and a selection of various mint juleps.

3. Bobby Hotel
Neighborhood: Downtown

Bobby Hotel's rooftop lounge is a Nashville favorite featuring a bar, small pool, and many lounging options including seating on a 1956 retrofitted greyhound bus. Rotating seasonal designs from cabanas and fire pits in the summer to igloos in the winter provide a fresh experience for guests year round.

4. Zeppelin
Neighborhood: Downtown

Zeppelin, opened in November of 2020 on the seventh floor rooftop of the TownePlace Suites hotel and features stunning views of downtown to the east and Germantown to the North. With floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the interior and an outdoor patio, Zeppelin has the capacity to seat 165 guests and everyone gets a spectacular view. Food wise, the menu here features a fusion of coastal and global flavors as well as modern takes on American standards.

5. Lou/Na
Neighborhood: Downtown

Lou/Na is a glamorous rooftop bar on the 25th floor of the Grand Hyatt on Broadway. Lou/Na is an indoor/outdoor bar with a fireplace and features a fairly extensive menu ranging from typical bar bites like their chili-maple wings and sliders to seafood favorites like shrimp and grits and seared scallops.

Neighborhood: The Gulch

Indoor-outdoor L27 featured atop the Westin Nashville, showcases one of the best views in Music City, specialty cocktails and a menu of southern inspired small plates. The glass-walled pool visible from the streets below is breathtaking but does require a reservation made in advance.

7. L.A. Jackson
Neighborhood: The Gulch

Located on the top floor of the Thompson Nashville, L.A Jackson is a rooftop staple in the Gulch. This indoor-outdoor spot serves specialty cocktails, creative small plates and some of the best views in Nashville. Friday and Saturday nights feature a rotation of Nashville's best local DJs.

8. Proof
Neighborhood: The Gulch

Proof is the rooftop bar at the W Hotel in the Gulch. Proof offers 270-degree views of Nashville from an indoor-outdoor space and a menu of shareable bites, local beers and craft cocktails.

9. White Limozeen
Neighborhood: West End

White Limozeen is a Dolly Parton themed indoor-outdoor rooftop bar that sits atop the hotel Graduate Nashville located within walking distance of Vanderbilt University. On the menu, White Limozeen serves homestyle renditions of traditional french cuisine, specialty Dolly themed cocktails and a great brunch. A reservation is required inside, but outdoor seating is first come first serve. Also available for reservation is a spot at the small but adorable Governor's pool.
