Nashville has a wide variety of great plant shops and there’s nothing like buying a plant from a local vendor who offers personalized tips on keeping your newly adopted housemate alive. 1. Lawrence & Clarke Cacti Co.
Neighborhood: Hermitage

Lawrence & Clarke Cacti Co. started as a small pop up shop at local farmers markets in the Nashville area in the fall of 2017, and soon after evolved into a brick and mortar operation in Old Hickory. The shop is laid back but has an urban style and provides a wide range of Cacti, succulents, Air plants and house plants as well as potting stations for DIY terrariums.

Neighborhood: East Nashville

Flora began in 2016 as a pop-up plant shop and now has two brick and mortar locations in Franklin and Nashville. At Flora you will find high quality interior plants, beautifully designed planters, and an assortment of plant care items and home goods.

3. Gardens of Babylon
Neighborhood: Germantown

Gardens of Babylon is a large and lovely plant shop open seven days a week at the Nashville Farmers Market in Germantown. Babylon’s mission is to “Improve the lives of everyone we serve by connecting them to the natural world.” They offer indoor houseplants, unique pottery, landscaping supplies, flowering perennials and annuals, shrubs, statuary and thoughtfully curated homegoods.

4. Hoop House
Neighborhood: 12 South

Hoop House is a cute, new plant store near 12 South that provides greenery for a number of places around town.

6. Flower Mart
Neighborhood: Belle Meade

Flower Mart by Sunrise is a large and affordable plant store and garden center serving the Belle Meade and Green Hills neighborhoods since 1980. The store specializes in a wide variety of annual and perennial flowers, tropical plants, trees, shrubs, landscaping materials, floral arrangements and assorted containers as well as candles and home and garden décor.

6. Hewitt Garden and Design Center
Neighborhood: Franklin

Hewitt Garden and Design Center is a massive, family-owned plant oasis in Franklin open on Hillsboro Pike since 1996. If you’re looking for a rare plant this is the place to find it. Hewitt’s goal is to bring you the highest quality, most unique plants, from specimen evergreens to hard to find houseplants. Hewitt’s stocks thousands of plants ranging from tiny succulents and houseplants to massive full grown trees. They have a large outdoor show area that spreads across acres and also more then a dozen indoor greenhouses and showrooms.

7. Yarrow Acres
Neighborhood: Franklin

Yarrow Acres is a plant store that was established in 1988 in Grass Lake, MI but relocated to Main Street in Historic Downtown Franklin in 1994. Yarrow offers traditional gardening gifts as well as seasonal trends. The shop features a wide variety of beautiful and unusual plants from tiny fairies to large potted plants and is a great place to find a garden inspired gift like a gnome, book or wind chime.
