All The Bar's on Broadway in Nashville - The Complete Guide

Robert's is one of Nashville's very best honky tonk's and is known as the preserver of traditional country music on Broadway's main strip. In addition to featuring a number of Nashville's top musicians and bands, Robert's also serves one of Nashville's most famous meals, the infamous 'recession special' which is just $6 and will get you a fried bologna sandwich, a bag of chips, a Moon Pie and a cold PBR. This has long been considered the best deal in Nashville.

Tootsies is a country music institution and world famous honky tonk located right across the alley from the Ryman on Broadway's main strip. Tootsies has four stages and three bars that host live local talent each night usually performing a mix of originals, modern and classic country. Past performers at Tootsies include Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and many others. Tootsie's Wall of Fame' includes hundreds of photos and other memorabilia.

The Stage is a popular dive bar with a long history on Nashville’s main strip featuring great country music and a large dance floor. The interior features an original oil painting of The Highwaymen that hangs over the front door. This painting once belonged to Waylon Jennings and hung in his Nashville home.

Controversially, Taylor Swift was once on the mural but was painted over for Brad Paisley.

Jason Aldean’s opened on Lower Broadway in the Summer of 2018. The Three-Time ACM Entertainer of the Year welcomes guests inside four levels of good times, southern food and live entertainment. Aldean's main restaurant level features a large bar with a 1961 4020 John Deer tractor. “My Kinda Party” is the largest rooftop patio on Broadway and is dedicated to an all day and night party with live entertainment, dancing and panoramic views of Broadway.

Morgan Wallen's This Bar is one of the most spacious Broadway honky tonks with multiple levels filled with different bands, bars and food options. Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up is a western-themed honky tonk just off Broadway on 3rd Ave. in downtown Nashville. Taking over the space that was previously occupied by FGL House, the multi-level venue has one of the biggest and best rooftops downtown, features tons of Lainey Wilson memorabilia and has a Louisiana influenced menu.

Eric Church's Chiefs is one of the most creatively decorated and designed bars on Broadway with multiple floors featuring different themes and experiences. Neon Steeple at Chief's is a private, Ryman Auditorium themed, small venue within the space for live shows and residencies that is a breathtaking tribute to the iconic venue that is just steps away.

Friends in Low Places is a Garth Brooks themed honky tonk on Broadway that features two main stages for live music. The first levels main stage is one of the biggest on Broadway and the whole lower level is designed to have a good view of it. The rooftop dubbed 'The Oasis' is tropical themed and features a stage and a patio overlooking Broadway below.

JBJs is a fusion of rock 'n' roll and country brought to you by Jon Bon Jovi and BPH Hospitality. Located on the corner of Broadway and 4th Ave. the lengthy venue has two rooftop patios and stages for live bands on each level. The main stage on the first level can be viewed from the 1st through 4th floor.

Located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Broadway, Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse is one of Nashville’s biggest and baddest honky tonks. With five floors, four stages, and six bars, the well designed space can accommodate almost two thousand people and has a reputation for being Nashville's loudest and rowdiest bar.

Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa is the first female artist’s bar and restaurant to open on Broadway’s Honky Tonk Highway in Nashville and provides a little taste of Texas in Music City. It is a four level complex that features Tex-Mex dining, three floors of live music and nightlife and a rooftop bar. Another highlight is Casa Rosa’s “Pink House” that features plenty of Miranda’s memorabilia.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row is a honky tonk and gastropub located in downtown Nashville on the corner of 3rd and Broadway. Whiskey Row is a three-story establishment. The main floor features a stage for live music and a large bar area. The second floor operates as a dance hall with a DJ Booth and is reservable. The top floor is a rooftop bar with panoramic views of Lower Broadway and downtown Nashville below.

Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge is a 30,000 square foot multi-level entertainment facility. It features 6 levels, 8 bars, 3 stages and 2 restaurants. The 'Nut House' is the nickname for the rooftop bar which is one of the largest downtown. The main restaurant here focuses on Southern and American cuisine while the rooftop serves Luke’s personal favorite, sushi.

Ole Red, founded by Blake Shelton, is a honky tonk for “music-lovers, food-lovers, drink-lovers, and a helluva-lot-of-fun-lovers”. Ole Red’s flagship location opened in Shelton’s hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma in September of 2017 and its Nashville iteration opened the following May. Ole Red features a large stage for live music, multiple levels and a rooftop bar.

Housed in the oldest building on Broadway that has in the past been used as a civil war hospital and Nashville’s first used record store, Alan Jackson keeps it country at AJ’s Good Time Bar. AJ’s features three floors of live country music and also has a rooftop bar.

Acme Feed & Seed is a four-story, multi-use, honky tonk and diner on the corner of First and Broadway. The first floor at Acme has a wooden framework and features live music from local bands. The second floor is a cocktail lounge and bar with games and TVs catering to large groups. The third floor is a concert hall and reservable event space. The fourth floor is Acme's huge rooftop patio that has a full bar. On the rooftop at Acme you're treated to one of the best views in Nashville. Facing west is all of Broadway, and facing east is the Cumberland River with Nissan Stadium directly across it.

Barstool Sports first ever bar concept opened on 2nd Ave. right off Broadway in downtown Nashville during the Summer of 2023. Sports and music come together at the bar which features live bands seven days a week and tons of different TV options for watching games. Barstools food menu is full of American favorites but shockingly doesn't currently serve pizza.

This 40,000-square-foot honky tonk located near the end of Broadway close to the Cumberland River has four floors with bars, food, live music a mechanical bull and arcade games. Nashville Underground is one of the only bars on Broadway that kids can enjoy during the day.

Rippy’s Bar and Grill is a honky tonk located on the corner of 5th and Broadway immediately across from Bridgestone Arena. Rippy’s main dining area focuses on barbecue-related food and hosts talented musicians. The east area features big screen TV's and is a great place to watch a game.

Honky Tonk Central is a 94,00 sq. foot bar on Lower Broadway featuring pub food and live country music. Opened in 2010, Honky Tonk is owned by the same group as the famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge across the street.

The Valentine is a prohibition-era themed multi level bar that features live music, light American eats and signature cocktails. It features multiple bookable spaces, perfect for parties or corporate events.

Nudie’s is named after renowned tailor Nudie Cohn whose iconic pop culture clothing is featured along with tons more rare country memorabilia at this three story live music establishment that also features the longest bar in Nashville. Nudie Cohn created costumes for the likes of Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Gene Autry, Johnny Cash, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Elton John and many others. The centerpiece of Nudie’s is Cohn’s custom pink Cadillac El Dorada that hangs on the wall above the main stage at the bars entrance.
