The Hillsboro Village neighborhood highlighted on a map of Nashville

Hillsboro Village, which has direct access to Vanderbilt and Belmont University, is a charming, walkable neighborhood that sits three miles southwest of Downtown Nashville. As you would expect given its location, the neighborhood largely caters to college students and features many clothing boutiques, coffee shops and independent restaurants. Among our favorite things to do in Hillsboro Village are to check out a film at the non-profit Belcourt Theatre opened since 1925 (recently renovated) and eat some pancakes at the famous Pancake Pantry opened since 1961. The land now known as Hillsboro Village was once a part of Adelicia Acklen’s estate which also contained the nearby Belmont Mansion now converted into a museum.
